In a remarkable achievement, experienced Indian opener Smriti Mandhana has claimed her career-best position in the latest ICC Women's T20I rankings. On Tuesday, the apex cricketing body announced the updated rankings where Mandhana found herself at number four with career-best rating points.

Hailed for her scintillating stroke play, Smriti Mandhana enjoyed stellar success in the recently concluded Women's Asia Cup tournament, amassing 173 runs, including a vital fifty in the final, at an average of 57.66 and a strike rate of 137.30.
Although India Women lost the final to their Lankan counterparts, Mandhana's valiant efforts didn't go unnoticed, rewarding her with one-place rise in the rankings.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka Women's captain Chamari Athapaththu, who top-scored in the Asia Cup 2024, moved three places up to number six on the list.
The swashbuckling southpaw showcased remarkable form in the tournament, garnering 304 runs, including a scintillating ton, at an average of 101.33 and a strike rate of 146.85.
Among the bowlers, Renuka Singh Thakur and Radha Yadav made giant strides, rising four and seven places to number five and thirteen, respectively.
Meanwhile, Kavisha Dilhari, who played a pivotal role in Sri Lanka Women's Asia Cup triumph, progressed in both bowlers (five places up to 30th) and allrounders chart (ten spots up to 17th) for her impressive performances with bat and ball.
