In the 16th over of the Indian innings, the ball slipped from Athapaththu's hands as it bounced twice before reaching Mandhana. The Indian opener goes for the pull shot and gets a top-edge, which is safely taken by the SL captain, Athapaththu.

The entire Sri Lankan team starts to celebrate, but the celebration was short-lived as the umpire gave it a no-ball, since the ball bounced twice before reaching the batter.

However, the joy for Mandhana didn't last long, as she was eventually dismissed for a well-compiled 60 off 47 deliveries. The southpaw played a crucial knock in the context of the match and held the innings together as India lost wickets at the other end.

She stitched a crucial partnership with Jemimah Rodrigues, but Sri Lankan bowlers struck twice and got rid off both the batters in quick successions.

Talking about the match, India won the toss and Harmanpreet Kaur elected to bat first. India lost Shafali Verma and Uma Chetry early, but the Mandhana-Rodrigues partnership steadied the ship for the Indian team.
