ICC Worried Over PCB's Lack Of Plan B In Case India Withdraws From Champions Trophy 2025

The Champions Trophy is less than an eighth month away. It is the next ICC event in line, and Pakistan are set to host an ICC event after 29 years. 

However, there is mounting pressure over PCB as reports hint that BCCI are pushing for a hybrid model and have refused to travel to Pakistan over security concerns. 

Recently, all board members gathered in Sri Lanka for ICC's annual meeting, but no decision was taken over Champions Trophy 2025. However, reports mentioned that ICC allocated extra funds to PCB for allocating India games outside Pakistan.

In the latest events, Pakistani media reported that ICC have expressed shock over PCB's lack of plan B, incase India withdraws from Champions Trophy 2025.

The source mentioned that the ICC is worried about the possibility of problems at the last minute and stated that no discussion has taken place between PCB and ICC over alternative venues such as Dubai and Sri Lanka. 

Shahid Afridi's Remark on Champions Trophy 2025

Recently, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi slammed BCCI and stated that they are using security concerns as an excuse. He also added that Pakistan used to travel to India despite threats from India. 

His remarks came as a reply to Harbhajan Singh, who recently advised BCCI to not send Indian cricket team to Pakistan over security reasons.
