PCB To Lobby For A Spot In 2028 LA Olympics

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will reportedly lobby for securing a spot at the men’s cricketing event of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. With only six slots lined-up for participation, the Pakistan cricket team will likely miss out considering the organizers are expected to follow a regional qualification format. A PCB source recently stated that the board is planning to send a letter to the ICC and the LA Games committee in regards to the qualification cut-off date.

David Wiese Named New SLK Captain For CPL 2025

The St Lucia Kings franchise has named Namibia all-rounder David Wiese as the new captain of the team ahead of the 2025 edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). The cricketer will be replacing South African legend Faf du Plessis, who led the St Lucia Kings to their maiden title-triumph back in mid-2024 last year. Since Faf has opted himself out of the CPL 2025 season citing personal reasons, the franchise confirmed his replacement roughly a week prior to the launch of the tournament.
