Zimbabwe cricketer, Sikandar Raza was found guilty of breaching Pakistan Super League (PSL 2024)’s Code of Conduct during the clash between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators on Sunday.

Raza was fined 10 percent of his match fee for showing dissent at the umpire’s decision. He expressed his disappointment by shaking his head on three occasions as he felt that the deliveries should have been given as wide.

The Zimbabwean was found to have violated Article 2.8, which relates to player showing dissent at the umpire’s decision. After on-field umpires, Chris Gaffaney and Rashid Riaz levelled charges against him, match referee Ali Naqvi imposed the fine.

The Lahore Qalandars cricketer remained unbeaten on 6 runs off five balls and returned with a spell of 0/32 in 4 overs with the ball in the clash against Quetta Gladiators on Sunday.

Sikandar Raza’s performance this season with the bat hasn’t inspired a lot of confidence. In 8 matches, he could only manage to score 91 runs at an average of 15.16 and a strike rate of 133.

Lahore Qalandars slump to 8th defeat in PSL 2024

It has been a forgettable season for the Shaheen Afridi-led Lahore Qalandars in the PSL 2024. In 10 matches, they could only secure a solitary win. Qalandars’ campaign came to an end with a six-wicket hammering against Quetta Gladiators on Sunday.

Shafique’s 59 and Shaheen Afridi’s 55 propelled them to 166 at the end of the first innings. However, it didn’t prove enough as Quetta Gladiators chased down the score on the final ball of the game.
