Gujarat Titans crushed the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) clash on Wednesday and after the victory, GT skipper, Shubman Gill posted a cryptic message on social media hndle, Instagram and fans were intrigued as they found a Virat Kohli connection in it.
Did Gill insult Kohli?
In a seven word post after the win over RCB, Gill wrote: “Eyes on the game, not the noise." While there was no direct mention of Virat Kohli in the post, fans wondered if it was targeted towards him and the reason has perhaps been decoded.
During the Gujarat Titans batting, Kohli was at his best as he was energetic and was trying to get under Gill's skin. The move worked as the Gujarat skipper failed and scored just 14 off 14 balls.
Despite Virat Kohli's efforts, GT won the match comfortably and fans speculated that Gill posted it to target Kohli since his efforts went in vain during the match.
GT crush Virat Kohli's RCB in one-sided contest
Batting first, the home side, RCB failed in front of a hostile GT bowling attack led by Mohammed Siraj. The Indian seamer, who was a former member of the RCB side destroyed the RCB batting lineup.
Liam Livingstone and Tim David gave finishing touches as the side posted a decent 169/8. In reply, despite losing Gill early, Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler and Sherfane Rutherford scored crucial runs and helped the side win their second game of the season. Interestingly, this was RCB's first loss of IPL 2025 and slipped to third in the points table.
