With the season of IPL 2025 knocking on the door, Punjab Kings (PBKS) have formally unveiled their match jersey for the new season. With their newly appointed captain, Shreyas Iyer, at the helm, the franchise is all set to make a serious bid for their first IPL title. 

The IPL 2025 season is set to begin from March 22 with Kolkata Knight Riders taking on Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the tournament opener. 

Before the season kicks off, all teams are getting their necessary preparations right, including the newly revamped, Punjab Kings.

Punjab Kings Reveal New Kit For IPL 2025

Punjab Kings used their social media to disclose their team jersey for the upcoming IPL 2025 season. The team has retained their trademark red colour and added a touch of golden strips to the edges.

Supporters willing to show support for the team can now buy the official PBKS jersey from various outlets. The jerseys will be on sale at the PBKS Megastore, and also online.

This allows fans worldwide to grab their favourite kit and showcase their support for stars like Shreyas Iyer, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shashank Singh, Arshdeep Singh, and other key PBKS players.

Shreyas Iyer to lead PBKS in IPL 2025

In a big announcement, Bollywood's superstar Salman Khan officially announced Shreyas Iyer as the Punjab Kings captain for IPL 2025 in a special episode of Bigg Boss 18.

The move comes after PBKS made Shreyas Iyer their most expensive signing, acquiring him for INR 26.75 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction. 

Considering his title-winning leadership of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2024, Iyer was the clear favourite for the captaincy at all times.

One of the most thrilling parts of Iyer's appointment is his reunion with coach Ricky Ponting. The two had worked together at Delhi Capitals from 2018, guiding the team into solid contenders.
