The WPL 2025 is slowly and steadily moving towards the business end, and the competition is getting quite intense with each passing encounter. The glimpse of it was seen in the UP Warriorz game against Mumbai Indians, where Harmnapreet Kaur was involved in a heated exchange with umpire and UP star Sophie Ecclestone.

Harmanpreet Kaur Gets Irritated By Sophie Ecclestone's Interference

The fight happened at the end of 19th over when the umpire told Harmanpreet Kaur that they can have only three players outside the circle in the last over due to slow over-rate. It did not go well with MI captain and she started arguing with the umpire. Amelia Kerr too was not happy as she was supposed to ball the last over.

At that time, Sophie Ecclestone who was standing at the bowler's end walked towards the umpire to explain him something. It irritated Harmanpreet Kaur who is known for her on-field fights, and she was seen pointing fingers towards the English star, probably asking her to do her job and not get involved. Naturally, Ecclestone who is an accomplished cricketer also got pissed off and after a heated exchange walked back to the bowler's end in frustration.

The situation did not escalate and UP Warriorz could not take advantage in the final over and ended with a score of 150 at the end of their innings. Sophie departed in the final over at a score of 16, but overall it was a below-par batting performance from UP Warriorz after a good start from Grace Harris and Georgia Voll. They now have to bowl out of their skins to get a win after their big loss in the last encounter.
