Shreyas Iyer To Play With Suryakumar Yadav In Buchi Babu Tournament 2024

In the latest developments around domestic cricket, India's star batter Shreyas Iyer is all set to feature for Mumbai in the upcoming Buchi Babu tournament.
He will play alongside Suryakumar Yadav and will be available from August 27 to play against Jammu & Kashmir.
"Shreyas Iyer will play for Mumbai at Buchi Babu Invitational tournament organized by Tamil Nadu Cricket Association. He will be playing vs Jammu & Kashmir from 27th August at Coimbatore," MCA jt secy Deepak Patil.
The upcoming tournament is crucial for Iyer as he was left out by the BCCI in their central contract and since several key Test games are coming up from September, Iyer would look to do well and cement his place in the red-ball side under Gautam Gambhir's tenure.
Key Players In Buchi Babu Tournament
Not just Iyer, but even out of favour Ishan Kishan is all set to return to domestic cricket and will lead Jharkhand in the Buchi Babu tournament.
Other than that, Suryakumar Yadav too will feature for Mumbai under the leadership of Sarfaraz Khan and play in the Buchi Babu tournament.
There were reports that the BCCI wants top India stars to feature in domestic cricket and it is likely that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma too would return to the domestic set-up with a return in the Duleep Trophy.
