In the ongoing IPL 2025 mega-auction, former Delhi Capitals' batter David Warner has failed to garner interest from any franchise and has gone unsold in the auction. This development has surprised the cricket fans as Warner is the highest overseas run-getter in IPL history.

Notably, Warner will have another go at the auction on day 2 and will go under the hammer during the accelerated round. Before the start of the mega-auction, Warner, who is 38-year-old, was expected to go for a lesser amount than his previous value, but going unsold has been shocking.

Warner Finds No Bidder

Eyes were on Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad, the two teams that Warner has represented in the past. Unfortunately, neither of the two teams were interested in Warner. Also, Warner led the Capitals in IPL 2023 when Pant was ruled out because of his freak car accident.

However, Warner had a poor IPL 2024 that led to him going unsold in IPL 2025 mega-auction. He scored just 168 runs in eight matches, his worst season since 2009.
