In the ongoing IPL 2025 mega-auction, Mohammed Siraj has found a new house as Gujarat Titans has roped his services for the upcoming season for 12.25 crores. Notably, Siraj was released by RCB ahead of IPL 2025. 

Siraj, who was a part of set 2 as a marquee player, was bound to fetch big bucks at the IPL auction because of his past heroics for RCB with the new ball. Thus, GT, who are looking for quality seamers, roped in Siraj to give them the early breakthroughs.

GT And RR Involved In Bidding War

Gujarat Titans started the bidding war for Siraj at a base price of 2 crores. CSK too joined them and as the bidding war started to grow, the five-times winners backed out and it led to Rajasthan jumping in. 

The two teams engaged in a bidding war and eventually, Siraj went to Gujarat Titans for 12.25 crores. Meanwhile, the auctioneer asked RCB to use their RTM, but the three-times finalists refused to utlisie their power.

Mohammed Siraj IPL Career And Stats

Siraj made his IPL debut in 2017 for SRH and impressed the critics as he took 10 wickets. He moved to RCB in 2018 and has been their star bowler since then. Siraj's breakthrough year was in 2023 when he took 19 wickets and raised his stocks. 

Thus, RCB releasing him ahead of the IPL 2025 auction came as a shock. As Siraj also contributes with the bat at times.
