Shoaib Malik Accuses PSL Franchises Of Underpaying Players Amidst Retirement Calls

Shoaib Malik is now 43-year-old, but is still competing with young players through his fitness and exceptional cricket skills in the T20 leagues around the world. He is currently playing in the Pakistan Super League for Quetta Gladiators, and there are people who are questioning his need to play in the league.

Shoaib Malik Opens Up On His Future Plans

Various cricket pundits have mentioned that he should retire and give youngsters chance to play in the league. Now, Qadir Khawaja, a Pakistan journalist has stated that Shoaib Malik has opened up on his retirement. He stated that if he takes everyone's opinion serioiusly, he would not be able to live.

The former Pakistan captain also stated that there are some players who have represented the country in the past, but are sitting on the bench. He added that no one talks about them and will play as long as he thinks he is useful for the team. He also mentioned that the PSL teams need to reduce the money from their bank and give more money to the players.

It is a serious allegation from an experienced player who is clearly not happy with the way, the players are paid by the PSL franchises.

PSL is now into its 10th edition, and Shoaib Malik has been part of all the seasons so far. In the current season, he has not done anything great, but his team would be hoping for a big performance soon, as they eye comeback after two consecutive losses. Shoaib Malik did not play in the last game, and it would be interesting to see how his season unfolds under the leadership of Saud Shakeel.
