Mumbai Indians are currently playing against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 41st match of IPL 2025. The Mumbai Indians have taken control of the game with four early wickets in the match and putting the home team under pressure.

The onus was on Heinirch Klaasen to revive SRH's batting. The South African wicketkeeper batter was seen taking full toll of Vignesh Puthur, the young MI spinner. On the first ball of the 10th over, Puthur bowled a short ball. Klaasen rocked and pulled it out of the stands for a monstrous 107m six. This was the longest maximum of the season.

Context Of The Match

The Mumbai Indians won the toss for the game and opted to field first. On a track at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, that is known to be batting friendly, it was expected that the powerful SRH batting line-up will post a formidable total on the board.

However, as the match started the MI bowlers brilliant areas and did not allow the SRH top order to launch themselves. Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar combined to dismantle the fabled top order for the Sunrisers.

The Kiwi pacer picked up the wicket of the two oners in Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma. Deepak Chahar followed the suit of his partners and dismissed Ishan Ishan and Nitish Reddy.

Hardik Pandya also joined the party soon with the wicket of Aniket Verma. On a surface that was touted to favour the batters and a huge target was predicted, the fall of SRH engine room was surprising for everyone.

At the time of writing, the Sunrisers are stationed at 81/5 at the end of 14 overs. Heinrich Klaasen seems to be the last pillar of SRH batting. He is batting at 45 off 32 balls. He has Abhinav Manohar with him. The duo wil be looking to take the total to a score, where the bowlers can give a tough fight.
