In the match 41 of IPL 2025, Mumbai Indians are up against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the home of the Orange Army. MI have won the toss and have decided to bowl first, and would be hoping to continue their winning run in this game. SRH, on the other hand, have won just two games so far and have made a big change for this game.
Mohammed Shami Dropped Because Of Poor Form In Must-Win Game
The experienced Mohammed Shami has been dropped because of his poor form in IPL 2025, and Jaydev Unadkat has replaced him. In the seven matches, he has picked just five wickets and has leaked runs at an economy rate of over 10. It has forced SRH management to take a tough call of dropping Indian speedster.
Shami is in the Impact Players list, so there is still a chance, but with four seamers already in the SRH's playing XI, it is highly unlikely that he will be on the field in the second half. Jaydev Unadkat, on the other hand, is also an experienced player who has done well for SRH in the past, and would be looking to make the most of the opportunity.
SRH Look To Avenge Wankhede Loss
Talking about SRH campaign, the ultra-aggressive approach has not worked for them in this season. However, the pitch is expected to be good for batting against MI, and the responsibility will be on their openers to give them rapid start. MI, on the other hand, have brought in spinner Vignesh Puthur in place of Ashwani Kumar, and they would be confident of notching up another win after three victories in a row.
This is a reverse-fixture between the two sides, and in the game between the two teams at the Wankhede, the five-time champions outclassed SRH with ease.
