Shikhar Dhawan will join Chris Gayle in the Gujarat team for the upcoming third edition of the Legends League Cricket (LLC). 

Dhawan, who recently announced his retirement from international cricket, was roped in by the Gujarat management on Thursday, August 29.

Apart from Dhawan and Gayle, the upcoming LLC 2024 season will also be glittered with the presence of several other international stars like Robin Uthappa, Dinesh Karthik, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan etc.

Dhawan, Gayle among big names to feature in LLC 2024

Shikhar Dhawan is set to make his LLC debut through the upcoming 2024 season. He will play for the Gujarat team alongside legendary opening batter and former West Indies captain Chris Gayle. 

Apart from Gayle, the Gujarat team also features several overseas stars like Liam Plunkett, Morne Van Wyk, Lendl Simmons, Asghar Afghan, Jerome Taylor and former Indian cricketers Mohammad Kaif and S Sreesanth.

Manipal Tigers group includes Harbhajan Singh, Robin Uthappa, Sri Lankan cricketers Thisara Perera and Angelo Perera, West Indies fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell and Australian-based Dan Christian. 

Former Indian wicketkeepers Dinesh Karthik and Parthiv Patel will be joining the Southern Superstars group alongside Kedar Jadhav, Abdur Razzak and Suranga Lakmal.

India’s T20 heavyweight Suresh Raina will be expected to headline Hyderabad. He will be joined by former teammate Stuart Binny and international stars like Isuru Udana and Chadwick Walton.

India Capitals team will feature Ashley Nurse, Ben Dunk, West Indies batter Dwayne Smith, New Zealand all-rounder Colin De Grandhome, former Indian Test opener Murali Vijay as well as legendary English batter Ian Bell.

Brothers Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan will join Vinay Kumar, Ross Taylor, Ambati Rayudu, Richard Levi at the Konark Suryas Odisha management.

The LLC 2024 season is scheduled to launch in mid-September 2024, and will be contest for nearly a month between six competing teams.
