On Sunday afternoon, Rohit Sharma fired shots at IPL 2024 broadcaster Star Sports for breaching his and athletes' privacy in general through a Tweet after his recent conversation with his ex-Mumbai teammate Abhishek Nayar went viral on the internet.

The aforementioned video was shot during one of the practice sessions ahead of Mumbai Indians' clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) that took place on May 11. 

Rohit was also seen telling the cameraman to mute the audio before their final game when they were capturing him.

After MI's season ended, the ex-MI skipper expressed his displeasure with a tweet saying that their conversation was recorded despite being asked not to and was aired on national television as well.

The tweet from the Indian captain caused outrage among the fans because of the cricketer's genuine concern. 

As the Tweet came out, netizens, especially the 37-year-old's fans, came out angrily and trended 'Shame On Star Sports' in the afternoon.

Rohit, who was replaced as the captain of MI by Hardik Pandya, had already created a lot of controversy with how things were handled from the franchise's end, which led to a turbulent season for both the team and reactions from the fanbase.
