Sarfaraz Khan, the right-handed batter from Mumbai is all set to get fit ahead of India's two-match Test series against the West Indies. The cricketer has been sidelined due to a quadriceps injury and is currently working hard on his fitness at the Centre of Excellence (COE).

Now, according to Devendra Pandey of the Indian Express, the cricketer will be fully fit till September 29, a few days before the start of the opening Test against the West Indies in Ahmedabad. Thus, it would be interesting to see whether he gets a call-up in the Test side or not.

Sarfaraz Khan recently missed some key matches, which included Duleep Trophy encounters for West Zone, while he has also missed out on playing in the two unofficial Tests against Australia A. The cricketer injured himself while playing in the Buchi Babu Tournament in Mumbai, but has shown great consistency in red-ball matches before that.

Sarfaraz Khan: A Consistent Force In Domestic Cricket

The right-handed matter was excluded from the Indian Test side for the tour of England, but did well with the A team in the opportunity he got. Overall, Sarfaraz Khan has an average of 37.10 in Test cricket and has three fifties and a hundred to his name. He has an excellent first-class average of 65.98 and even in his last Test series against New Zealand, the batter scored a century in the first match.

He did not get a game in Australia and, since then, has been sidelined from the international level. Now, with the failure of Karun Nair in England, there are calls to bring back Sarfaraz Khan. Thus, it would be interesting to see whether the selectors trust him to play directly at the international level after missing domestic matches due to injury.
