Sarfaraz Khan Goes Level With Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid After Century In Irani Cup 2024

In the ongoing Irani Cup 2024 match between Mumbai and the Rest Of India at the Ekana Stadium, Sarfaraz Khan, who is known for dominating domestic cricket, once again proved his mettle with a blistering century.
On day 2, Sarfaraz Khan came to bat when Mumbai lost four wickets for 149 runs. He stitched a valuable 131-run stand with Ajinkya Rahana for the fifth wicket. While Rahane missed out on his century by just three runs, Sarfaraz brought up his century in 149 deliveries.
At the moment of writing this article, Sarfaraz is unbeaten on 177 (241), which featured 21 fours and two sixes. It was his 15th first-class century and it is worth noting that now Sarfaraz has more centuries in domestic cricket than fifties (14).
Sarfaraz Khan Equals Sachin And Dravid's Feat
Further, with the century against the Rest of India, Sarfaraz Khan equalled Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid on the list of most centuries in Irani Cup history. It was Sarfaraz's 2nd Irani Cup century and he has equalled Sachin and Dravid for that feat.

Notably, Dilip Vengasarkar and Gundappa Viswanath hold the record for most centuries in Irani Cup history (4). Talking about Sarfaraz, he averages 90 in the Irani Cup as he has scored 271 runs in three matches in the tournament's history.
