Sanju Samson was present in the Indian squad that won the title in the T20 World Cup in USA and West Indies, but he didn't made an appearance in any of the matches in World Cup.

He was selected for India's squad in the Zimbabwe T20I series, where most of the players from the T20 World Cup squad were sidelined.

The keeper-batter, alongside Jaiswal and Dube were chosen for the Zimbabwe series, who were also a part of the T20 World Cup winning squad.  However, they were picked for the last three T20Is against Zimbabwe as celebrations were planned in India for the World Cup win.

Samson, Dube and Jaiswal took part in the victory parade that happened in Mumbai. Today, Samson was seen in the Indian dugout during the second T20I match. It appears Sanju Samson had reached Zimbabwe ahead of Dube and Jaiswal.

This T20 World Cup marked Samson's debut in an ICC tournament, and he celebrated that by winning the T20 World Cup with the team.

With the T20I series against Zimbabwe levelled at 1-1, expect Sanju to be drafted in the playing XI for the next T20I, set to take place on Wednesday.
