Sanju Samson is all set to captain Kerala in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 tournament. Fresh off a smashing series for India in South Africa, Sanju will be looking to bring that same magic to the Kerala team.

The tournament runs from November 23 to December 3, and Kerala’s got some tough matches lined up in Group E. They’ll face teams like Mumbai, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh.

Sanju Samson’s got some strong backup this season. Sachin Baby, Kerala’s Ranji Trophy captain, is in the squad, bringing experience to the lineup. Then there’s Vishnu Vinod and Basil Thampi, both ready to make an impact. Veteran all-rounder Jalaj Saxena adds experience with both bat and ball. With guys like Mohammed Azharuddeen, Rohan Kunnummal, and Sijomon Joseph, the team’s got plenty of talent.

Kerala kicks off their campaign against Services in Hyderabad. It’s a crucial game, and a strong start is exactly what they need. Group E is packed with competition, especially with Mumbai in the mix. But with Sanju in red-hot form, Kerala has a real shot at making waves.

Samson’s Red-Hot Form

Sanju has been on an absolute tear. He’s scored three centuries in his last five T20I matches for India. In the recent series against South Africa, he was unstoppable, racking up 216 runs in just four matches with a blistering strike rate of 194.59.

With two centuries in the bag, he was a huge part of India’s 3-1 series win. If he can bring even a slice of that form to the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the tournament will be set on fire.
