Samson rift with Suryavanshi? [Source: @I_m_dhruv_/x.com]
The Rajasthan Royals made a demolition job on Monday as they dismantled the Gujarat Titans in a one-sided Indian Premier League (IPL) battle at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. The star of the show was teenager, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who blasted a 35-ball century and broke several records in the process.
Samson's bizarre gesture after Suryavanshi's century
He became the youngest centurion in the IPL and his efforts were applauded by everyone in the stadium, barring one. The RR skipper, Sanju Samson, who was out of the match due to an injury looked disinterested after the 14-year-old reached the landmark.
While the entire RR dugout were at their feet, cheering for the young prodigy, Samson was simply sitting and looked sad as if happiness was gone from his face. This perhaps signalled that all is not well between him and Suryavanshi. There have also been reports that the RR captain is unhappy with the team management, but there are no concrete evidence for it.
What the fans had to say about Samson's gesture towards Suryavanshi?
RR triumph over GT
GT batted first and their openers were at their absolute best as Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill added 93 runs for the first wicket and laid a foundation for a big total. Sudharsan became the Orange Cap holder, while Gill missed out on his first hundred of the season as GT posted 209/4.
In reply, the GT bowlers were blown away by the Suryavanshi storm and the target which looked a bit tricky was chased down inside 16 overs, as RR only lost two wickets, and Yashasvi Jaiswal stayed unbeaten as he, too, scored a valuable fifty.
