Orange Cap IPL 2025: Sai Sudharsan Overtakes Virat Kohli To Become Leading Run-Getter

Sai Sudharsan is the most consistent batter of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 and he continues to showcase his domination throughout the tournament. Once again Vs Rajasthan Royals, the Gujarat Titans southpaw batted with aggression and finess as he surpassed Virat Kohli and became the leading run-getter of IPL 2025.

He needed 27 runs to surpass the RCB great and Sudharsan did that with minimum fuss as he overtook Kohli and now holds the Orange Cap with 444 runs with a strike rate in excess of 150. Interestingly, Kohli became the highest run-getter in the last match Vs DC.

Orange Cap IPL 2025: Most Runs in the league

Sudharsan has been Mr consistent and has overtaken Kohli in the list. MI batter, Suryakumar Yadav sits at the third place with 427 runs, while LSG duo of Nicholas Pooran and Mitch Marsh occupy the 4th and 5th place to complete the Orange Cap list.

Interestingly, Sudharsan has played one match less than Kohli (9), and has become a batting mainstay for GT.

Sudharsan-Gill dominate RR bowlers

Just like every other game, the opening duo of Sudharsan and Shubman Gill dominated the early going against a helpless RR bowling attack. The duo have now added more than 500-runs as a pair in the IPL 202 and have made a mockery of the RR attack in the ongoing contest.

While Gill reaches his fifty in just 29 balls, Sudharsan is going strong at the other end and is batting at 39 off 29 as GT are 92/0 after 10 overs and still have plenty of batters to follow.
