India Women crushed Sri Lanka Women in the first match of the Tri-Nation Series and made a winning statement. Now, their attention shift towards the South African challenge as the two sides will collide in the second match of the tournament at the R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
India Women were ruthless in the first match and won the contest by 9 wickets, however, the Proteas Women will provide a stern test, but rain god could hamper the contest on Tuesday as India aim to win two in a row.
R Premadasa Stadium Weather Update
As per Accuweather, the average temperature will be around 32 degrees celsius, however, rain god has some plan for the match as there is a 83% chance of precipitation, with cloud cover upto 77%. Sri Lanka is known as a place where it rains a lot, so don't be surprised if the match gets halted due to relentless rain.
Interestingly, the toss for the first match between India and Sri Lanka was also delayed due to rain and a similar pattern could be followed for the upcoming clash.
India aim for second win as Proteas dream for winning start
The India Women bundled out the hosts for a paltry 147 in the series opener, with the spinners scalping 8 out of the 10 wickets. In reply, the famed Indian lineup made a meal out of the target as they lost just one wicket and won the game in a comfortable fashion. South Africa on the other hand will play their first match and will aim for a winning start.
