The 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi from Rajasthan Royals continues to raise his stocks as the youngest player in the league etched his name in the history books vs a helpless looking Gujarat Titans bowling attack. He took them to the cleaners and smashed the fastest fifty of IPL 2025.
He broke Nicholas Pooran's record with a 17-ball fifty. The LSG batter, Pooran achieved the feat in just 18 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Nicholas Pooran | 18 | SRH |
Priyansh Arya | 19 | CSK |
While Suryavanshi scored his fifty in 17 balls, Pooran achieved the feat in 18 and another youngster, Priyansh Arya scored a 19-ball fifty Vs CSK.
Records broken by Suryavanshi
The 14-year-old batter also hammered the second fastest fifty by an RR batter in IPL. Yashasvi Jaiswal holds that record with a 13-ball fifty Vs KKR in 2023 season, and Buttler smacked a 18-ball half century vs DC in 2018.
RR cruising towards the target
GT batted first and they posted 209 runs and it was mainly due to the dominance by their famed top-3 of Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler.
Sai Sudharsan became the Orange Cap holder in IPL 2025, surpassing Virat Kohli, while Gill slammed a gritty fifty and Buttler provides the finishing touches as GT posted a strong total. However, then came the Suryavanshi storm as he raced away to a 17-ball fifty and was accompanied by Jaiswal who is etching closer to yet another half century.
