Ravi Ashwin Slams Pant For Withdrawing Rathi’s ‘Mankad’ Appeal

Legendary Indian all-rounder and ‘mankading’ expert Ravichandran Ashwin has slammed LSG skipper Rishabh Pant for withdrawing Digvesh Rathi’s non-striker’s runout appeal against RCB’s rampaging batter Jitesh Sharma. In the final league match of the IPL 2025 season, Rathi attempted to run out Jitesh at the non-striker’s end, only for captain Pant to intervene and call back the interim RCB skipper.

Ashwin slammed Pant for his gesture, stating that his withdrawal might well have scarred young Digvesh Rathi enough to not even consider ‘mankad’ another batter in his career.

Litton Vows Stronger Comeback Ahead Of PAK Series Post UAE Loss

Bangladesh T20I skipper Litton Das has vowed of a stronger comeback for his team after losing their three-match T20I series to UAE by a 1-2 margin earlier this month. Speaking with the reporters ahead of the series against Pakistan, Litton said that the impending fixtures will serve as a new challenge for his team, and added that his group has the potential to defeat “any team in the world”. The series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will launch on May 28 and will serve as a testing ground for both sides for the 2026 T20 World Cup.

LSG Skipper Rishabh Pant Fined For Slow Over-Rate

LSG skipper Rishabh Pant has been penalised for maintaining a slow over-rate against RCB in Lucknow in match 70 of the IPL 2025 season. The cricketer was found guilty of breaching article 2.2 of the IPL code of conduct, which particularly deals with the over rate offences. Notably, this was Rishabh Pant’s third such offense this season, with LSG’s earlier matches against Mumbai Indians, both home and away, being the previous two instances.

Matheesha Pathirana Pens Emotional Note Post IPL 2025

CSK’s Sri Lanka import Matheesha Pathirana dropped an emotional farewell message for fans of the franchise. With CSK finishing at the bottom of the IPL 2025 points table, the young fast bowler thanked the fans and followers of the team for their continuous support and loyalty.

Virat Kohli Expands Sporting Empire

Indian batting great and RCB legend Virat Kohli has expanded his sporting empire by investing in the World Bowling League (WBL). The cricketer said that he started bowling at the age of 11, and claimed that the sport is highly “underappreciated as a business proposition.”

Kohli’s decision of investing in WBL seems personal as well as strategic, considering the former Indian cricket captain has tasted business success alongside Adi K Mishra with Team Blue Rising in the E1 electric racing series. Teaming up with Mishra, it remains to be seen if the cricketer’s strategic influence will prove successful to him again.
