Shaheen Afridi, Pakistan's star fast bowler, has been in the spotlight following media reports accusing him of 'misbehaving' with head coach Gary Kirsten and other coaching staff during the England tour and the T20 World Cup 2024.

Reports claimed that the team managers were aware of the situation but did not take any action against him.

This has raised questions about the discipline within the Pakistan team and why the managers did not address Shaheen's behaviour.

Shaheen Afridi's Cryptic Social Media Post

Amid the controversy, Shaheen Afridi posted a video of himself bowling at the nets on social media with the caption, "Rise Above." This cryptic message was his first public reaction to the allegations.

The PCB has not commented on the allegations. Still, it has been confirmed that former cricketers Abdul Razzaq and Wahab Riaz have been removed from the national selection committee due to a lack of discipline.

Wahab was also dismissed from his role along with team manager Rana Mansoor for not addressing Shaheen's misconduct.

Shaheen's verbal spat with Mohammad Yousuf

The Pakistani media reported that Shaheen had a verbal spat with batting coach Mohammad Yousuf during the England tour. He later apologised in front of the team. Despite the apology, the PCB launched an investigation.

Shaheen's cryptic social media post has left fans and analysts speculating about his future with the team.

As Pakistan cricket undergoes significant changes, Shaheen Afridi's role and conduct will be closely watched in the upcoming series against Bangladesh.
