Experienced Pakistan allrounder Imad Wasim weaved his magic with the ball in Seattle Orcas' MLC 2024 encounter against Washington Freedom. 

Opening the bowling for the Orcas, Imad delivered a wicket maiden over, dismissing the dangerous Travis Head for a two-ball duck.

After being put into bat, Seattle Orcas could post a modest 124-run total on the board as sensational spells from Saurabh Netravalkar and Lockie Ferguson restricted them to a sub-par score. 

However, they got a fantastic start to the second half, with Imad dismissing Head on the second ball of his over. 

After starting his over with a full-length ball, Imad dropped his slightly short, inviting Head for a square cut. 

The explosive southpaw fell in the trap, and he ended up hitting it straight to Ali Sheikh, who grabbed a sharp catch at the backward point. 

Head's departure opened the floodgates for Washington Freedom as they lost four more wickets, including that of skipper Steve Smith, before the halfway mark. 

However, a consolidating stand between Lahiru Milantha and Obus Pienaar has kept them alive in the low-scoring thriller. 

As of writing, Washington Freedom were 96 for five, needing 28 runs to win with 26 balls to spare.
