After a disastrous T20 World Cup campaign, the PCB has implemented a major overhaul by removing Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq from the selection committee. Both former players were tasked with selecting Pakistan's squad for the tournament.

Pakistan suffered an early exit from the T20 World Cup group stage after defeats to both USA and India.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Yousuf and Asad Shafiq will retain their positions as selectors for the time being. The PCB intends to appoint new selectors in place of Razzaq and Wahab, amid criticism from former cricketers regarding team selection.

There are also reports circulating within the PCB about the possibility of removing Wahab Riaz from his current role as the senior manager overseeing the national team. If this happens, a senior cricketer or a bureau chief will likely assume the responsibilities.

Naqvi plans to revamp Pakistan

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi held two crucial meetings today. He first met with Pakistan's white-ball coach Gary Kirsten and red-ball coach Jason Gillespie to discuss ways to improve Pakistan cricket.  Naqvi wants Pakistan to improve at all fronts in the game and start winning titles for the country.

Following this, Naqvi convened a meeting with over two dozen former and current Pakistani cricketers to deliberate on the future direction of cricket in the country. The sessions commenced with a presentation by Naqvi titled "Pathway to Pakistan Cricket."
