India Women To Play ODI Tri-Series Vs SL, SA
The Indian women’s cricket team will play an ODI tri-series in Sri Lanka from April 27 onwards. As confirmed by the ICC, as many as six ODIs will be played in the lead-up to the final between India, South Africa and hosts Sri Lanka, with each team squaring off with each other twice in a double round-robin opening round.
The first match of the series will be played between Sri Lanka and India, and the final is scheduled to be played on May 11. All matches will be hosted by the iconic R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Jacob Bethell Likely To Recover For RCB Before IPL 2025
England star Jacob Bethell is expected to attain full recovery in time before the IPL 2025 season for the RCB franchise. The youngster was forced to miss the entirety of England’s 2025 ICC Champions Trophy campaign in Pakistan, prompting the ECB to replace him with Tom Banton owing to a hamstring injury.
Back in November during the IPL 2025 mega auction, Bethell was acquired by the RCB franchise for a staggering sum of Rs. 2.60 crore. As reported by The Daily Mail, the 21-year-old is well on course for a timely recovery.
Hayley Matthews Pummels UP Warriorz For Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians walloped UP Warriorz by six wickets in match number 16 of the WPL 2025 season in Lucknow. Winning the toss and fielding first, Mumbai Indians bowler Amelia Kerr skittled five of UP Warriorz batters for just 38 runs. Hayley Matthews also chipped in with two wickets as the Warriorz conjured just 150-9 from 20 overs.
In response, Matthews bludgeoned 68 off just 46 balls with eight boundaries and two sixes. Nat Sciver-Brunt composed 37 swift runs from her end before Amanjot Kaur and Yastika Bhatia soared Mumbai Indians past the finishing line in just 18.3 overs. In doing so, the Mumbai Indians displaced Gujarat Giants to take the number two spot on the WPL 2025 points table.
Wiaan Mulder Replaces Carse In SRH For IPL 2025
The SRH franchise roped in South African all-rounder Wiaan Mulder as a replacement of injured English cricketer Brydon Carse for the upcoming IPL 2025 season. Carse was ruled out of the tournament as he sustained a foot injury during England’s winless campaign at the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.
Set to make his IPL debut this year, Mulder has played 128 T20 matches to date, including 32 in SA20 and another 26 in England’s Vitality Blast T20 competition. The 27-year-old has tallied 2,172 runs at an astonishing strike rate of 132.92 with the bat, and has taken 67 wickets at an average of 28.97.
ICC Unveil Match Officials For Champions Trophy Final
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the list of match officials for the upcoming final match of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy between New Zealand and unbeaten Team India. The ICC confirmed that Paul Reiffel and Richard Illingworth will be serving as the two on-field umpires, while Joel Wilson will officiate as the third umpire. Sri Lanka-based Kumar Dharmasena will act as fourth umpire and veteran Ranjan Madugalle will play the role of the match referee. The final is scheduled to be played on Sunday, March 9 at the Dubai International Stadium.
