In a significant development, England's star batter Jacob Bethell is expected to recover from his injury before the IPL 2025. It's worth mentioning that Bethell was purchased by Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the mega auction last year.

Bethell was impressive with the bat for England against India in a bilateral series, which was their final dress rehearsal before the ICC Champions Trophy. However, an unfortunate hamstring injury led to his exclusion from England's squad for the mega event.

Bethell's Injury Update Encourages RCB Before IPL 2025

Recently, RCB announced Rajat Patidar as their captain for the IPL 2025. Led by the Madhya Pradesh batter, the Royal Challengers will face Kolkata Knight Riders in the first match of the tournament.

Ahead of the lucrative league, the Red Brigade received a massive boost, as Jacob Bethell is expected to be declared fit in time. As reported by The Daily Mail, Bethell is well on course for a timely recovery and is all set to represent RCB in the tournament.

The same report also stated that Reece Topley won't participate in the IPL 2025 after undergoing hernia surgery. So, Mumbai Indians could announce his replacement anytime soon.

Jacob Bethell's IPL Price, Record And Stats

Renowned for his aggressive stroke-play, Jacob Bethell was purchased by RCB for INR 2.6 Crores in last year's mega auction. The swashbuckling southpaw has played 63 T20s, scoring 1127 runs at an average of 24.50 and a strike rate of 136.77.

However, the IPL 2025 will mark Bethell's maiden appearance in the competition, as he will kickstart his journey with the Royal Challengers. Apart from scoring crucial runs in the middle order, Bethell's ability to chip in with a few overs of left-arm spin makes him a vital cog in the RCB setup.
