The entire cricket world is on their toes as the high-voltage Champions Trophy 2025 final is raising its curtains soon. After days of unreal cricket thrills, the marquee event is going to witness the ultimate winner of the thrilling edition.

The finalists are doing their ultimate preparations as the final encounter is set to be staged on March 9. Before that, ICC announced the complete list of the match officials for the Champions Trophy final.

ICC Announces The Match Official For The Champions Trophy Final

Starting a remarkable journey on February 19, the Champions Trophy 2025 is just one fixture away from being wrapped up. On March 9, the Dubai International Cricket Stadium will host the high-voltage encounter between India and New Zealand. Prior to that, the ICC announced the star-studded match officials list for the final clash.

Ace umpires like Paul Reiffel and Richard Illingworth will be seen as the on-field umpires. Reiffel was in charge in the second semifinal match between New Zealand and South Africa. He will be seen in the charge once again.

Along with him, legendary umpire Richard Illingworth will be on the field. He was in charge of the last group stage game between India and New Zealand. In his extraordinary umpiring career, the Champions Trophy final will also be added, along with the 2023 ODI World Cup final and the 2024 T20 World Cup final.

Alongside the on-field umpires, the ICC has named other key match officials. Joel Wilson will be seen as the third umpire. Kumar Dharmasena will be serving his duty as the fourth umpire, and veteran Ranjan Madugalle will play the match referee’s role.

The Exciting Encounter is Loading

After giving a smooth start to the event, Team India is all set to face New Zealand in the final clash of the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025. Both sides had a great season. Team India is still unbeaten in the tournament and qualified for the final after defeating Australia in the first semifinal.

On the flip side, the Kiwi side has faced only one defeat in the tournament, against India, and qualified for the final clash after a dominating victory over South Africa in the second semifinal. As both teams are in their prime form, Team India will try to extend their unbeaten streak, and New Zealand will try to keep their dominance alive on the final showdown.
