In a significant development, Sunrisers Hyderabad have signed South African all-rounder Wiaan Mulder as Brydon Carse's replacement for the IPL 2025. Mulder has been an integral part of South Africa's white-ball squad, putting up some remarkable efforts with bat and ball for his side. 

It's worth mentioning that Carse sustained an injury during the ICC Champions Trophy. As a result, he was ruled out of the tournament after playing the first game against Australia.

Why Has Brydon Carse Been Ruled Out Of IPL 2025?

Regarded for his knack for striking at crucial junctures, Brydon Carse made it into England's Champions Trophy squad following his impressive returns in ODIs and T20Is. However, apart from conceding runs at a poor economy, Carse developed a foot injury against Australia, eventually missing out on the Champions Trophy as well as IPL 2025.

He was purchased by Sunrisers Hyderabad for an amount of INR 1 crore in the mega auction last year. 

Wiaan Mulder's IPL Career, Price And Stats

Meanwhile, South Africa's Wiaan Mulder has represented the Proteas in eleven T20 Internationals, scoring 105 runs and scalping eight wickets. He has played 128 matches in the shortest format, including T20 leagues, amassing 2172 runs and bagging 67 wickets. 

However, he hasn't played in the IPL before and this will be his first stint in the competition. He joined SRH for INR 75 lakhs, which was his base price in the mega auction.
