The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) franchise has confirmed ticket refunds for fans who attended the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday, May 17. It is worth noting that RCB’s match against defending champions KKR on the same day was washed out without a ball being bowled at the iconic venue.

The outcome prompted both teams to share a point each, with KKR making its exit from the playoffs’ contention. The RCB, on the other hand, jumped to the top of the IPL 2025 points table.

RCB confirms ticket refund for KKR match

On Sunday, May 18, i.e., a day after RCB’s planned home fixture against KKR was washed out in Bengaluru, the home franchise confirmed ticket refunds for the spectators. In a social media update, the RCB franchise wrote that “all valid ticket holders” are eligible for a full refund.

The franchise also added that digital ticket holders will be issued their refunds within 10 days to their original account used to book the tickets.

The match between RCB and KKR on May 17 was designed to be a restart of the IPL 2025 season after the tournament was put to a 10-day halt earlier this month by the BCCI.

With Virat Kohli confirming his announcement from Test cricket last week, the RCB fans were planning to throw in a grand tribute for the legendary Indian batter in the game. However, rains played spoilsport at the venue, prompting both teams to share a point each.

As a result, defending champions KKR got knocked out of the competition’s playoffs race. The RCB, under the spirited leadership of Rajat Patidar, jumped to the top of the IPL 2025 points table, leapfrogging Gujarat Titans in the process.
