Gautam Gambhir was appointed as Indian Men's team new head coach after the T20 World Cup 2024. Since then, there has been lot of curiousness regarding his relation with Virat Kohli and how both of them will gel together after quite a few altercations in the past. 

However, whenever they have been spotted together in the training session after Gambhir's appointment, the bond between the two has looked perfect, and now BCCI is all set to release a special interview where both the star cricketers are likely to discuss cricketing technicalities, mindset of cricketers and their personal equation as well.

As of now, BCCI has released a 1 minute 40 seconds video on its official X handle where Gambhir is seen talking about how the batter goes into the zone when he spends time in the middle. Kohli in reply is seen asking Gambhir whether the chat with the opposition player puts him off the zone or helps him concentrate more to which the Indian coach gives cheeky answer claiming that Kohli has more experience of it as he has had more altercations on the cricket field over the years.

The mood gets jovial after that and Kohli adds in Hindi that he just wants someone to agree with him on the issue as Kohli has always emphasised that he gets more motivated when he gets involved in a banter with an opposition player.

At the end of the clip Kohli is seen telling people that they have come a long way over the years and signalled that the interview will bring an end to all the masala and spice that has been generated because of on-field altercations between the two. Gambhir also responds positively that and it is a great line to start the conversation.

'We have come a long way and putting an end to all the masala and all the spice,' Virat Kohli said. 


Gautam Gambhir replied, 'that's a good start to the conversation.'

The first big fight between Virat Kohli and Gambhir took place in IPL 2024 when Gambhir was leading Kolkata Knight Riders and Virat Kohli was the captain of RCB. Kohli got out in that match and as he was walking back, Gambhir said something which triggered Kohli and both of them charged towards each other, creating an unseen moment between two players of same nation.

The other big altercation between the two happened in the 2023 IPL after the RCB and LSG game at Lucknow. Kohli had some problems with Naveen-ul-Haq and Gambhir interfered which created a lot of tension and so, the interview between the two is turning out to one of the most anticipated one in the recent times.
