Adam Zampa has been one of the most successful white-ball spinners in world cricket in the last few years. He played an important role in Australia's success in the T20 World Cup 2022 and World Cup 2023 and his ability to outfox the best of the batters under pressure is highly admired all over the world.

The talented leg-spinner is now all set to play his 100th ODI, but surprisingly, he has not played a single Test match for Australia so far. He will play his 100th ODI against England and on the eve of the match, the Aussie has opened up about his Test career and his ambitions in the format.

The 32-year-old stated that he does not see himself playing in the Ashes and he is ok with the harsh reality. Zampa added that Australia have lot of Test cricket coming ahead and he still has a bit of drive to play the longest format for his country. However, he expressed no hope that he would get a chance to play against England in Ashes.

"Realistically, I'm probably not going to play in an Ashes in my career. I'm OK with that. We have lots of Test cricket and there's still a bit of drive to play that but, in terms of playing in England or playing in Australia against England, I don't think it's a possibility (for me)."

Adam Zampa In First-Class Cricket

Adam Zampa has so far played 40 first-class matches for New South Wales and has bagged 111 wickets in 40 matches. His average is on the higher side in the format with 46.98 and has picked 10 wickets in a first-class game once in his career. He has two five-wicket hauls and three four-wicket hauls in the format and with Nathan Lyon still going strong, Zampa with not even age on his side, might never play Test cricket.
