Pat Cummins, the Australian Test and ODI captain, is set to play for the San Francisco Unicorns in the second season of Major League Cricket (MLC).

This move marked a significant step for Cummins into the T20 franchise world, especially after leading the Sunrisers Hyderabad to the IPL 2024 final. The Unicorns have a strategic partnership with Victoria's first-class setup in Australia and are looking to fill the leadership void left by Aaron Finch's retirement.

His participation in the MLC will commence shortly after the conclusion of the T20 World Cup 2024
