Pat Cummins, the Australian T20 captain, mentioned in a recent viral interview that he frequently received messages from Indian fans requesting money for medical expenses such as operations and surgeries. He expressed that he found these messages unusual and unsettling.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Pat Cummins, donated  $50,000 to the PM Cares Fund, a government initiative in India aimed at combating the virus.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain stated that the donation was intended primarily to help purchase more oxygen cylinders, addressing the critical shortage faced by the country at that time.

Ever since Pat Cummins was appointed as Australia's Test captain, whatever he has touched has turned into gold and he has received immense success.

The talismanic bowler first won the World Test Championship (WTC) title by defeating India in the final and kept on doing wonders in the ODI World Cup as well, beating the same opposition.

Pat Cummins was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the mini-auction before the current IPL season for an impressive INR 20.50 crore and immediately he took on the captaincy role for SRH.

The 31-year-old has demonstrated his 'Midas Touch,' guiding SRH to their first IPL final in six years. Under his astute captaincy, SRH reached the final and faced Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) but was not able to put up a solid performance and lost the match.

In the current IPL 2024 season, Cummins has taken 17 wickets, matching Anil Kumble's record from the 2010 season with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
