Oman's batters, with significant contributions from Zeeshan Maqsood (22 runs off 30 balls) and Khalid Kail (34 runs off 39 balls), provided some stability to their innings against Namibia at the Kensington Oval, Barbados in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024.

However, Namibia's disciplined and incisive bowling attack, led by Trumpelmann, restricted Oman to a total of 109 all out. Trump's leadership with the ball ensured that Oman struggled to build momentum throughout their innings.

Chasing a modest target of 110, Namibia faced difficulties on a slow surface and lost early wickets. Opener Nikolaas Davin and Jan Frylinck began a rebuilding effort, but Oman skipper Aqib Ilyas disrupted their progress with a key wicket.

The trouble exceeded for Namibia when in the 14th over, former Oman skipper Maqsood took a crucial catch, initiated Ayaan Khan's fierce celebration as he dismissed Namibian skipper Gerhard Erasmus.

The Namibian captain attempted to pull a short, wide delivery over mid-wicket but mistimed it, which resulted in an aerial shot to long-on where Maqsood made a straightforward catch.

Earlier in the match, Oman's batting lineup struggled against Namibia's formidable all-round attack, managing to post a modest total of 109 runs.

Khalid Kail top-scored with a hard-fought 34, while Zeeshan Maqsood was the second-highest scorer with 22. The rest of the batting order failed to make significant contributions, leading to a subpar total.
