The Asia Cup 2025 is around the corner as the 17th edition of the continental Cup is all set to take place from September 9 to 28. At present, the Indian team is in England for the five-match Test series.

After August 4, which will mark the end of the series, the focus will shift towards the T20I set-up as the Men in Blue will begin their preparations for the continental Cup.

The Suryakumar Yadav-led side will have just around a month's time to prepare for the upcoming event. The BCCI hasn't shed any light on the squad, but several spots would be up for grabs.

However, India have a bigger problem as several star players are battling injuries, and this article will look at the list of Indians battling injuries at the moment.

1. Suryakumar Yadav

The Indian captain himself is doubtful for the upcoming Asia Cup as the right-handed batter recently underwent surgery for a sports hernia. On June 26, SKY updated the fans that he was in pain and had to get himself treated for the issue in his groin.

SKY underwent surgery for a sports hernia for the 2nd time in two years. The reports revealed that the India captain will be out for around two months. Thus, it is to be seen whether the 34-year-old will return in time for T20Is.

2. Rishabh Pant

In the fourth Test between India and England, star keeper-batter Rishabh Pant too has been ruled out of the fifth Test after he suffered a broken toe on Day 1 of the penultimate Test.

The 27-year-old has been advised to rest for six weeks by the doctor. Thus, the wait is for the keeper to get fit and see whether he can make it for the Asia Cup squad.

3. Nitish Kumar Reddy

Nitish Kumar Reddy's England stint was cut short as the star all-rounder did damage to his knee and was ruled out of the tour after the third Test.

The details on the extent of the injury has not been revealed, but it is a big blow to NKR, who was in the mix for the T20 squad and missing the Asia Cup 2025 could be heartbreaking for the 22-year-old.

4. Mayank Yadav

India's star seamer Mayank Yadav, who made his India debut in 2024 against Bangladesh, has been injured for a long time. The right-arm seamer missed the start of the IPL because of a back injury and was ruled out for the rest of the tournament after playing a few matches because of the same issue.

Yadav was also in the mix for the T20I set-up, but recent injury blows have certainly cost him the chance to be a part of the Asia Cup squad.

5.Ishan Kishan

Ishan Kishan was supposed to be BCCI's first choice as Rishabh Pant's replacement for the fifth Test, but the apex board found out that the southpaw fell from a scooter and injured his leg, as the India opener is currently nursing a few stitches.
