In a significant development around Indian cricket, there are reports that Kuldeep Yadav is finally set to get a match in the ongoing tour. According to a report from Sahil Malhotra of Times Of India, the Indian management are mulling roping in the wrist spinner in place of seamer Shardul Thakur, who has not been upto the mark in the ongoing tour.

The Times Of India report added that Akash Deep is also set to return for the fifth Test after missing out on the fourth Test because of injury. Further, a call on Jasprit Bumrah is yet to be taken. However, if the 31-year-old is left out of the series decider, then Arshdeep Singh or Prasidh Krishna is all set to included in the playing XI.  Further, Anshul Kamboj is set to be dropped for the 5th Test.

Jasprit Bumrah's Availability To Be Confirmed In Next 24 Hours

The report added that the management will take a call on Jasprit Bumrah within the next 24 hours as he has already bowled 120 overs in the series. Further, the 31-year-old also took a hit on the ankle after he reportedly tripped on the stairs.

Thus, not only workload, but Bumrah's fitness will also be taken into consideration while making a decision on his inclusion for the series decider match. It is a crucial game as India trail the series 1-2.
