In a significant development, Lucknow Super Giants' star bowler Mayank Yadav has dealt another injury and has been ruled out of remainder of IPL. Notably, LSG have replaced Yadav with New Zealand seamer William O'Rourke.
It is worth noting that Yadav, who missed most of the IPL 2025 because of a back injury, has again faced issues with his back and won't be taking part in remainder of the league. Further, Rourke has been roped in for a whopping price of 3 crores.
Mayank Yadav is having a tryst with injuries as it is his third injury in the past 12 months. Talking about his IPL 2025 performance, then the Delhi-based cricketer failed to click 150 kmph and only managed to pick just 2 wickets in 2 matches.
PBKS And GT Also Make Changes To Their Squad
For Gujarat Titans, they too have signed Sri Lankan batter, Kusal Mendis as replacement of Jos Buttler who would leave for international duties on May 26. Thus, Buttler won't be available for selection for Gujarat Titans for the playoffs and Mendis would take his place.
Meanwhile, Punjab Kings, on the other hand, have announced Kyle Jamieson in place of Lockie Ferguson, who had injured his hamstring during PBKS match against RCB. For the unversed, these are temporary replacements and the teams won't be allowed to retain them for the next season.
