From August 21, Pakistan will kickstart their two-test match home series against Bangladesh. The Shan Masood-led side are on the cusp of joining an elite list.

Notably, Pakistan have won 148 Test matches in their cricketing history are just two wins away from joining the elite list of teams with 150 or more Test wins.

Pakistan, who played their first Test against India in 1952, have played 456 games and won 148 matches. They will become the sixth team in history to win 150 Test matches.

India, on the other hand, have won 178 games. On top of the table is Australia with 414 wins. Here is the complete list.

  • Australia – 414
  • England – 395
  • West Indies – 183
  • South Africa – 179
  • India – 178
  • Pakistan – 148
  • New Zealand – 115

Pakistan had the opportunity to script this feat against Australia but suffered a 0-3 whitewash in the away tour last year.

PCB's Decision To Change Venue For 2nd Test

Pakistan will host Bangladesh at Rawalpindi Stadium for both games. Earlier the second Test was scheduled at Karachi Stadium, but due to logistic issues, it was earlier announced to be played behind closed doors, but later the PCB shifted the venue to Rawalpindi.
