India's star batter Virat Kohli is trending on the internet as, on Sunday, August 18, he has completed 16 years in international cricket. On this day in 2008, a young 19-year-old Kohli donned the Indian jersey for the first time.
As the world is celebrating Virat's special day, the man himself sat down for a special segment with broadcasters Star Sports, where he answered 16 'Rapid Fire' questions.
In the fun segment, Kohli also opened up on his favourite IPL rival between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders. Much to everyone's surprise, the 35-year-old opted for the Shahrukh Khan-owned franchise as his favourite rival.
Meanwhile, BCCI secretary Jay Shah too jumped onto the bandwagon and shared a post on his social media profile celebrating Virat's achievement.
RCB-KKR Rivalry
Talking about Kolkata Knight Riders, they ended their 10-year-long trophy drought in IPL this year by beating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the finals, but still lag behind Mumbai Indians in terms of most trophies.
However, if we shed light on the RCB-KKR rivalry, then the two teams have locked horns on 34 occasions where KKR won 20 times, while Virat's side emerged victorious just 14 times.
Mumbai Indians also enjoy a good head-to-head against RCB as they have also beaten Bengaluru 19 times in 33 games.
Another aspect that makes RCB-KKR rivalry bigger is that the last time RCB beat the Knight Riders at Chinnaswamy Stadium was back in 2015.
