Sunday, August 18, is all about Virat Kohli as the former India captain has completed 16 years in international cricket. He made his debut against Sri Lanka in 2008 and has emerged as the best batter of the current times.
Virat has several records to his name, while he also enjoys two World Cups and three ICC trophies. However, there are two extreme-fans groups, who often compare Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli over the better batter and usually cross limits while advocating for their favourite star.
However, on Virat's special day, Star Sports released a throwback video showing camaraderie and mutual respect between Rohit and Virat. In the video, Rohit heaped massive praise on Kohli's abilities.
It was ahead of Virat's 100th T20I game during the 2022 Asia Cup when the hitman admitted that Kohli's hunger and his passion for the game is unmatchable.
"We all know his hunger and his passion are unmatchable. Every time, you see him, he comes out with a different energy all the time. So many things he brings to the table. His experience, so many games he has played for India. You cannot go and buy that in the market. So I would personally congratulate him on that. "It's a massive achievement. Every time, you see him, his game seems to be at a different level,"Rohit told Star Sports.
