On Monday, September 23, PCB conducted a connection camp, which senior cricketers and the head coaches attended—the meeting held in Lahore aimed at laying a roadmap for future plans.

PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi attended the meeting via video call and listened to the players and coaches. According to reports, the players expressed their concerns over being unable to communicate with top officials and demanded someone act as a bridge between them and the top officials.

Meanwhile, the reports suggested that the board has agreed to the demands and will set up a two-member independent committee to oversee enhanced communication between the players, management, and various PCB departments.

In the same meeting, the players also raised concerns over the team's lack of security and issues regarding captaincy. In reply, PCB assured the players that there would be no change in captaincy in the near future and that they should focus on their performance.

"Naqvi basically told the players that there would be no change in captaincy and whoever they had as captains, the players must support them and play as one regardless of the format,"PTI quoted the source as saying.

Gary Kirsten Lists Three Demands For The Players

Kirsten stated that 'Professionalism, Unity, and Pride while playing for Pakistan' are the three things players should remember. He said:

"I think we all agree we want the Pakistan team to be as successful as it possibly can be across all the formats. And we spend today just going through the various things that can help us and help the team be the best version of itself. So I think, from the team and the players in terms of their levels of professionalism, was one thing that we spoke about that was really important. And I think the commitments around making sure that they are. And present themselves as best they can for the for the nation, and to bring pride back into Pakistan cricket."

Pakistan will host England for a three-match Test series starting on October 7.
