Former India batting coach Sanjay Bangar namedropped his best Test XI of the current generation and included seven Indians.

Bangar, who recently appeared on the Rao podcast, was asked to name the best XI Test cricketers of the current era, and he axed several renowned talismans in red-ball cricket.

Bangar included the likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, but his list featured just four non-Indian stars. The only four overseas players Sanjay included in his side are David Warner, Kane Williamson, Ben Stokes, and Josh Hazlewood.

Here is the complete list of Bangar's World Test XI

Rohit Sharma, David Warner, Kane Williamson, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ben Stokes, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Josh Hazlewood.

Bangar Comments On Punjab Kings Going After Rohit Sharma In IPL Auction

There were reports that Rohit Sharma, who was sacked as MI captain last season, could leave Mumbai and find a new base for IPL 2025. Reacting to these reports, Bangar, who is the franchise's head of cricket development, revealed that Rohit could be picked by them given they have that purse value.

"It all depends on whether we have the money in our pockets. If Rohit comes in the auction, I certainly believe, he is going to go for a high price," said Bangar in an interaction on the RAO Podcast YouTube channel.

There were also reports that Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants have kept a big purse value for Rohit Sharma for mega-auction.
