Former Indian cricketer, Navjot Singh Sidhu has entered the YouTube era and it’s not about politics. The iconic commentator, and ex-MP launched his official channel, Navjot Sidhu Official, on Wednesday in Amritsar with a promise to deliver content that dives deep into his life beyond the headlines.
Navjot Sidhu Starts YouTube Channel To Share His Journey Beyond Politics
And the best part? It’s Navjot Singh Sidhu, unfiltered but without any political discourse.
“This channel will tell you everything about my life — my journey in cricket, spirituality, health, comedy, lifestyle, and motivation — but not politics,” Sidhu clarified right off the bat.
This is not your regular cricketer-turned-YouTuber deal. Sidhu is bringing a whole mixed bag, from tales of the dressing room to moments of spiritual reflection and probably a few classic Sidhuisms thrown in for good measure.
He has been a man of many hats: opening batsman, TV pundit, reality show judge, politician and now, he is turning storyteller.
“I started with cricket, then moved on to commentary, and later to comedy shows. All of this shaped who I am today. IPL commentary is a big part of my life — politics gave me satisfaction, but commentary gives me happiness.”
For The Love Of Storytelling And His Daughter
Sidhu made it clear that this digital journey isn’t about image-building or votes, it’s personal.
“Only time will tell. But there will be no political content on my YouTube page. This is something I am doing for my daughter.”
He added that while his wife remains active in politics, his own focus, at least for now, is shifting toward reflection and inspiration.
“I have earned everything through hard and honest work — whether it was cricket, commentary, or comedy shows. I never brought home even a rupee from politics,” he said with typical Sidhu-style honesty.
With Navjot Sidhu Official, one of cricket’s most colourful characters is going unplugged. Whether you loved him on the field, on the mic, or in the judge’s chair, this channel could be Sidhu’s most personal innings yet and by the sound of it, he looks ready to play it straight from the heart.
