Chasing 104, KKR openers Quinton de Kock (23 off 16) and Sunil Narine shared 46 runs from just four overs at the top. Narine went on to bludgeon 44 quick runs off 18 balls before captain Ajinkya Rahane and Rinku Singh navigated the defending champions past the hosts in just 10.1 overs.

Pakistan Women registered a comprehensive six-wicket win over Scotland Women at the Lahore City Association Ground in the fourth match of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 Qualifiers. In a 32-over game, Scotland hauled 186-9, with captain Kathryn Bryce making 91 off those runs from 96 balls. For Pakistan, Fatima Sana snared sensational figures of 4-23 from her five overs.
In response, Pakistan opener Muneeba Ali (71 off 72) and Aliya Riaz (68* off 70) compiled belligerent half-centuries to romp past Scotland with eight balls remaining.
Clinical Hayley Leads WI To Thrilling Win Over Ireland
West Indies Women overcame Irish scare by mere six runs in match five of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 Qualifiers at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. Batting first, West Indies listed 181-6 from 33 overs, with middle-order batters Stafanie Taylor and Chinelle Henry top-scoring with 46 runs each. Captain Hayley Matthews also clubbed 23 off just 18 balls at the top of the order.
Chasing 182, Ireland bundled out for 175 in a thrilling last-over finish, courtesy of Hayley’s match-winning four-wicket haul for the West Indies. Karishma Ramharack and Aaliyah Alleyne also picked up two wickets each to disturb Ireland’s momentum.
United Win PSL 2025 Opener Against Qalandars
Islamabad United crushed Lahore Qalandars by eight wickets in Rawalpindi in the opening match of the PSL 2025 season. Even though Abdullah Shafique belted 66 runs from just 38 balls, the Qalandars managed to accrue just 139, as they succumbed in front of Jason Holder (4-26) and Shadab Khan (3-25).
In response, Islamabad United’s number three Colin Munro cracked 59 unbeaten runs from just 42 balls with seven boundaries and a six to steer his team to a comfortable win alongside Agha Salman in just 17.4 overs.
Alex Carey Opts Out Of Islamabad United’s PSL 2025 Campaign
Australian wicketkeeper-batter Alex Carey has opted himself out of the PSL 2025 season. The cricketer was earlier picked up by the Islamabad United franchise as a replacement for South African star Rassie van der Dussen. However, Carey has decided to ditch his PSL contract in a bid to play domestic cricket matches in Australia. Notably, the Australian cricketer made his exit from the tournament on April 11, i.e., the date of the opening match of the season.
