CSK fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana and KKR mentor Dwayne Bravo engaged in a heartwarming banter in Chennai mere hours prior to the launch of their high-octane IPL 2025 showdown. It is worth noting that Bravo was the bowling coach of the CSK franchise last season, before he was roped in by the KKR management.

Both Pathirana and Bravo teased each other with some hilarious pre-match banter, as the two franchises aim to get their IPL 2025 campaigns back on track with a much-needed win.

Pathirana and Bravo touch each other’s feet

Sri Lanka and CSK fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana as well as KKR mentor Dwayne Bravo hilariously sought each other’s blessings by touching each other’s feet during training sessions in Chennai. The CSK franchise shared a video of their reunion on Friday, April 11, i.e., mere hours prior to the CSK vs KKR showdown at the Chepauk Stadium.

Bravo also jokingly called Pathirana a “Baby Goat”, while the Sri Lankan speedster asked his last year’s bowling coach for some advice for the game.

Matheesha Pathirana has picked up five wickets for the CSK franchise from four innings so far this IPL 2025 season. However, the cricketer leaked 52 runs off his four overs against Punjab Kings earlier this week as CSK slipped to an 18-run defeat in Mullanpur.

The upcoming CSK vs KKR match marks a must-win one for both sides in the competition. While the CSK is languishing at number nine on the IPL 2025 points table with four successive defeats, defending champions KKR has managed to list just two wins from five games.
