In a significant development, there are reports that Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has granted No Objection Certificate (NOC) to play rest of IPL 2025. It is worth noting that due to the IPL getting pushed back by a league, several overseas stars refused to return to India and one of them was Jake Fraser-McGurk.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals were quick to act on the unavailability and named Mustafizur Rahman as his replacement. The 2020 finalists roped in the Bangladesh star for a whopping six-crores, but a controversy occurred as Fizz has flown to UAE with Bangladesh for international duties and did not had a NOC certificate to play in IPL. It is worth noting that Bangladesh are set to play two T20Is against UAE starting on May 17.

However, in the latest events, according to report from Crincinfo, Mustafizur has been granted an NOC. Now it is to be seen whether he will play DC's upcoming game against Gujarat Titans on May 18.

Mustafizur's Signing Results Into Boycott Demand

Mustafizur's entry means that he is the first Bangladeshi player to feature in IPL 2025 and it has not gone well with the fans as there were cried of '#BoycottDelhiCapitals' on the internet because of the Parth Jindal-backed team roping in a Bangladesh star.

The fans were furious with Bangladesh over their pro-Pakistan stance during tensions with India, which prompted the boycott calls for Mustafizur Rahman. However, Delhi Capitals remained silent on the matter.
